Drs Hester Wilson and Diane Spencer Scarr are independent researchers who are undertaking a survey, on behalf of [xxx]. This survey examines [xxx] students’ experience, and opinions in regard to, issues around sexual harassment and assault. The purpose of this research is to provide better support for students at [xxx].
We would appreciate your participation in this research by completing the short anonymous survey below which takes most people take 10 to 12 minutes to complete.
• This survey operates under the provisions of the Privacy Act and do not have access to your contact details.
• The survey is not compulsory and is completely anonymous – you will not be asked to provide your name, student number or other contact details at any stage.
• None of the information collected in the survey can be used to identify you.
• Your answers will remain strictly confidential and will be combined with information from other students of [xxx].

“Sexual harassment is an unwelcome sexual advance, unwelcome request for sexual favours or other unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature which, in the circumstances, a reasonable person, aware of those circumstances, would anticipate the possibility that the person would feel offended, humiliated or intimidated.” It can include any of the types of behaviour we have been asking you about.
